Leaders Highlight the Partnership’s Impact
Dr. Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director of Quick Heal, said the collaboration will eliminate language barriers in cybersecurity education. He added that the company aims to ensure a farmer in rural Maharashtra can understand phishing scams as clearly as a professional in Bangalore.
Mr. Amitabh Nag, CEO of Digital India BHASHINI Division, stressed that cybersecurity and data privacy affect everyone. Furthermore, he said the partnership will allow users to learn about safe browsing, phishing, data consent, and personal data protection in their own languages and cultural contexts.
Using Advanced Language Technology
BHASHINI’s technology stack includes speech recognition, text translation, text-to-speech, and optical character recognition in 22 Indian languages. With these tools, Seqrite will offer multilingual cybersecurity modules, real-time alerts in regional languages, and localized incident response guidance.
The partnership will also bring privacy features such as cookie consent banners, data collection notices, and user rights information in local languages, meeting the requirements of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
First Step: Multilingual Consent Notices
To begin with, Seqrite will launch its consent and preference management solution with localized consent notices. In turn, this feature will allow users to review and respond to data collection requests in their preferred language, thereby increasing transparency and helping organizations meet DPDP compliance requirements.

Quick Heal and BHASHINI announced this initiative at a time when cyberattacks are rising and new data protection laws are taking effect.
