Sentra, a worldwide leader in cloud-based data security, has launched an exciting new feature to help companies easily respond to Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) from individuals. These types of requests are made under global privacy laws, such as the GDPR and CCPA, enabling individuals to request that businesses show or delete personal data they have about them. Managing these requests manually is often slow and complex – and especially complex for large companies with multiple cloud platforms often storing information around the world.

This new DSAR automation tools help companies speed up, streamline and simplify these processes with automated workflows based on data discovery and classification technology which can discover and classify all personal information accessible by a user, with the understanding that this information can vary, and can be spread across a variety of systems, formats, etc.

“As privacy rules get stricter, companies must be able to manage personal data quickly and accurately,” said Yair Cohen, VP of Product and Co-founder of Sentra. “Our new DSAR automation saves weeks of manual work and reduces the chance of mistakes or fines.”

Key Features of Sentra’s DSAR Automation Tool:

  • Fast & Accurate Data Discovery: Sentra automatically searches data stored in databases, data lakes, file servers, and cloud applications to find all the personal information linked to a person with identifiers such as email address, usernames or social security numbers.
  • Automatic DSAR Reports: Once found, a complete report is generated listing where that information is located. It can either be downloaded as a PDF report or viewed through an API.
  • Easy Integration: Sentra’s tool seamlessly integrates with existing privacy management systems, resulting in ease of adoption into the current workflow.
  • Deletion Tracking: If an individual requests their data to be deleted, Sentra can substantiate that this data has been deleted.

Supporting Stronger Privacy Compliance

For many organizations, managing DSARs has been time-consuming, costly, and error-prone. Sentra’s solution reduces the response time from weeks to just a few hours — helping businesses stay compliant with privacy laws while lowering their workload.

Consent Foundation

This new launch builds on Sentra’s growing presence in data security. The company recently raised $50 million in Series B funding and was recognized as a Customers’ Choice in the 2025 Gartner® Peer Insights™ report for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).

Sentra will showcase this new DSAR automation tool at the Gartner Security & Risk Summit from June 9–11 in National Harbor, Maryland at Booth #1139.
